Bottega
De heuvels van Conegliano, halverwege Venetië en de Dolomieten, zijn zeer geschikt voor de groei van sappige Prosecco- en Moscato druiven. Het gebied is waterrijk en de ruim opgezette wijngaarden geven plaats aan oude Venetiaanse kastelen en landhuizen. Bottega is een familiebedrijf onder leiding van Sandro Bottega. Het werd in 1977 opgericht als grappadistilleerderij door Aldo Bottega, een meesterdistilleerder met meer dan 30 jaar ervaring. Toen Aldo in 1983 overleed nam zijn zoon Sandro de leiding van het familiebedrijf over. In 1992 bracht Bottega zijn eerste prosecco op de markt welke al snel werd gevolgd door andere mousserende wijnen.

Bottega groeide sindsdien verder onder leiding van Sandro. Het bedrijf produceert inmiddels talloze Italiaanse wijnen, grappa’s, likeuren en zelfs etenswaren, welke verkocht worden in meer dan 120 landen. Kernwaarden van de onderneming zijn kwaliteit (Italiaanse smaak en authenticiteit), stijl (het kenmerkende Italiaanse gevoel voor stijl) en duurzaamheid (ondernemen met respect voor milieu en maatschappij). De productielocatie is gevestigd in Treviso, 45 km ten noorden van Venetië, in een 19e-eeuwse boerderij. De boerderij is compleet gerenoveerd met behoud van de oorspronkelijke architectuur en wordt omringd door 10 hectare aan wijngaarden. Het is een milieubewust bedrijf. Naast het opwekken van bijna alle eigen energie, doet Bottega ook veel aan recycling en past het biologische landbouw toe. Het complete en brede portfolio van Bottega biedt constante kwaliteit met oog voor detail, zoals je van een echt Italiaans bedrijf kunt verwachten.
